Performance Ensemble

This is a new performance-based program at Passion Academy designed for the serious dance student that is desiring to develop his/her artistic skills on a more regular basis, outside of weekly classes. Students in this ensemble must be dedicated and committed to their dance training. Students will learn and rehearse choreography with Passion Academy Dance Director, Sarah Ruppel Bullis, on a weekly basis and will have the opportunity to perform this choreography at various performance outlets in the Richmond community throughout the season. Students may audition for a spot in the ensemble at the beginning of the season. Students in levels Ballet V and up are eligible to audition at the end of August. Students in Ballet level IV that have been taking ballet classes 2 days per week since the beginning of the season may audition for the program in January.

Auditions for Performance Ensemble will be held on Sunday, August 27.

Upon being accepted into the program, students must commit to the following:

  • Students must prioritize this program over other activities
  • Students must take the allotted number of ballet classes per week (2 or 3) as determined by their level
  • Students must take either 1 jazz or 1 contemporary class per week
  • Students must take the conditioning class every week
  • Students must attend the 2 hour ensemble rehearsal on Sundays at 12:30 – 2:30PM
  • Tuition
    The tuition listed includes all of the above weekly classes plus the ensemble rehearsal hours.
    • Ballet V & VI = $350/month for 6.5 hours/week of classes/rehearsal
    • Ballet VIA = $405/month for 7.75 hours/week of classes/rehearsal
    • Ballet VII = $440/month for 8.5 hours/week of classes/rehearsal
    • Ballet VIIIA = $485/month for 9.5 hours/week of classes/rehearsal
