Jessica Perez Bio PicJessica is originally from Frederick, MD. Her dance experience began when she was Seven years old at the Frederick School of Classical Ballet. From 2003 to 2007 Jessica attended the Miami city ballet summer intensive; and after graduation of high school, she joined the Miami City Ballet School as a pre-professional dance student. During her time at Miami City Ballet School, Jessica was able to perform with the Miami City ballet Professional Company, including an original work by Miami City Ballet called “Lounge 2200.” Jessica then Danced Professionally in Los Angeles with the Pacific Dance center; she additionally taught for Pacific Dance Center’s school. She later moved closer to home and became a faculty member of Mid Maryland Performing Arts Center in Frederick, MD. Jessica has recently moved to the Richmond area and is thrilled to begin her teaching journey at Passion Academy. Jessica has performed in numerous classical and neoclassical pieces including; Allegro Brillante, Carnival of the Animals, Valse Fantasy, Jewels, Lounge 2200, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Paquita, and Raymonda.

Jessica is currently pursuing Dance Education and Business degrees. She hopes to apply these degrees to help further her ability to serve her students’ needs. Jessica has a profound admiration for the arts and loves working with children. She has over ten years of teaching experience and has two children of her own.
