Hip Hop Dance Camp
Session One – Ages 5 to 8

This fun and exciting camp will introduce younger students to the hip hop dance genre. Each day will begin with a dance warm-up that concentrates on building stamina, improving strength and flexibility, body conditioning and rhythm isolations. Students will then learn different styles of basic hip-hop movements, across the floor exercises and short combinations to today’s popular music. The dance portion of the session will conclude with learning choreography to be presented to parents at the end of the week. The camp day will also include snack breaks and a craft activity, in which students will make costume accessories to be worn during their final camp demonstration. Parents are invited to join us in the studio during the last 15 minutes of camp on Friday to view the choreography demonstration.

Hip Hop Dance Camp
Session Two – Ages 8+

This camp is for students at a beginning or advanced beginning hip hop dance level. Each day will begin with a dance warm-up that concentrates on building stamina, improving strength and flexibility, body conditioning and rhythm isolations. Students will then learn different styles of hip-hop movements along with short combinations and across the floor exercises that pertain to those styles. Hip Hop styles learned will include Lock n Drop, Electric Boogie, Krump, Breakdance, Bboy/Girl Break, and Commercial style. The dance portion of the session will conclude with learning choreography to be presented to parents at the end of the week. The camp day will also include snack breaks and a craft activity, in which students will make costume accessories to be worn during their final camp demonstration. Parents are invited to join us in the studio during the last 15 minutes of camp on Friday to view the choreography demonstration.
