We are excited to partner with Child Development Center at Wyndham offering a unique on-site dance learning experience. Students will have the opportunity to experience both classic and contemporary dance styles as they progress in their journey towards becoming accomplished dancers. Group classes are being offered in the following styles:
Boys Pop • This is a high-energy and exciting dance class for boys. This class is a fusion of hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary dance styles. Dancers will learn the fundamentals of musicality and movement and will be introduced to choreography each week.
Jazz Pop • This class is an exciting and high energy dance class for boys and girls. Dancers will experience a fusion of jazz, contemporary dance, and hip-hop dance styles and will explore movements such as body isolations, turns, leaps, and more. They will also learn the fundamentals of musicality and movement and will be introduced to choreography each week. This class will produce dancers who are expressive, dynamic, rhythmical, and passionate.
Tap Beginner • This class will emphasize the development and strengthening of basic tap technique and terminology highlighting the importance of rhythm and sound. Tap focuses on rhythms and intricate footwork, creating a percussion instrument out of the dancer’s feet.
Students in Jazz Pop or Boys Pop should wear clothing that allow for ease of movement (no jeans). Footwear includes tennis shoes, sneakers, or high-tops (free from dirt and gravel). Female dancers should wear their hair pulled back off of the face.
For tap classes, all female students should wear a solid color leotard (black is preferable) with pink tights worn underneath the leotard or black jazz pants/leggings worn over the leotard. All male students should wear a fitted t-shirt with shorts or leggings. Tap shoes must be worn for all tap classes.
